THE EXCEPTIONAL ASSETS OF THE PROVENCE-ALPES-COTE D’AZUR REGION
• The south-east of France is the largest fruit-growing area (more than 50% of France’s orchards) and major vegetable-producing region.
• Many fruit- and vegetable-processing industries have decided to settle close to this area of production.
• A research force unique in Europe.
• In Avignon the PEIFL has created Epicurium, the first living museum entirely devoted to fruit and vegetables, open to the public since June 2010.
